May 2010-preliminary application with Bethany Christian Services
October 2010-1st home study with Bethany
December 2010-2nd home study
January 2011-Final Home Study visit
April 2011-Home Study Complete!
June 2011-1-800A approved
July 2011-Dossier sent to Philippines
September 2011-Request more information on little girl on Special Home Finding List
September 21, 2011-Write letter of intent to adopt little girl
November 2011-ICAB requests more information on our case file
February 2012-Receive Notice that our case is being "reviewed" by placement committee
May 7, 2012-FINALLY, official referral! We have a daughter!
May 9, 2012-Acceptance paperwork sent in with payments
May 24, 2012-package and photo album sent to the Philippines through our agency
June 21, 2012-Surprise! Pictures and letter from our daughter
June 26, 2012-Legal docs finally arrive so we can file the I-800
July 17, 2012-1-800 Provisionally approved!
July 24, 2012-Our paperwork is sent by the NVC to the Philippines, we receive the case # by mail on July 30
Aug. 6, 2012-We recieve word that she has had her passport apperance and ICAB will schedule her visa and medical when they recieve the document
Aug. 30, 2012-We finally get an update from ICAB. Joy has had her medical visa appointment on Aug. 22, but the attending doctor requested reassessment. Follow up appointment scheduled for Sept. 5, 2012
September 14, 2012-Got a reply back from the US embassy-Joy has had her Visa Appointment on Sept 11, and the visa was issued on Sept. 13
